WAXING NUMBING CREAM

Waxing is fast, but the most requested areas are the most sensitive. Compound numbing on a small, sensitive zone takes the edge off the pull. For licensed providers and the waxing services they supervise.

WHERE IT HELPS

SMALL ZONES, BIG DIFFERENCE

Numbing earns its place on the small, sensitive areas clients dread, and on first-time clients who have not built up a tolerance.

BRAZILIAN & BIKINI

The most sensitive and most requested service. Apply only to the external skin being waxed, never to mucous membranes.

UNDERARM

A small area with dense hair. Skip it right after shaving or if the skin is irritated.

UPPER LIP & FACE

Keep the cream out of the mouth and well away from the eyes on brow work.

FIRST-TIME CLIENTS

The first appointment is usually the most uncomfortable. A calmer first visit makes a regular client.

LEGS & BACK

Large areas are where topical anesthetics need the most care. Most practices do not numb full legs or backs; if you do, numb only the most sensitive section.

SUGARING

The same approach applies: numb the small sensitive zone, then remove every trace before the paste goes on.

THE RULE THAT MATTERS MOST

WAX NEEDS CLEAN, DRY SKIN

Wax grips hair on clean, dry skin. Any cream left behind gets in the way, so full removal is part of the protocol for both comfort and results.

  1. 1

    CLEANSE AND DRY

Intact skin only. Skip freshly shaved, irritated or sunburned skin.

  2. 2

    APPLY A THIN LAYER

Rub it into the small, sensitive zone only. Leave it uncovered: no wrap and no heat.

  3. 3

WAIT ABOUT 15 TO 20 MINUTES

Use the time for intake and set-up.

  4. 4

    REMOVE EVERY TRACE

Wipe it off, cleanse and dry the skin completely, then apply your usual pre-wax prep.

FAQ

WAXING NUMBING QUESTIONS

Can you use numbing cream before a Brazilian wax?+
Yes, on the external skin being waxed and never on mucous membranes. Apply about 15 to 20 minutes before, then remove every trace so the wax can grip.
Will numbing cream stop the wax from working?+
Only if it is left on the skin. Wax needs clean, dry skin, so wipe the cream off, cleanse and dry before your pre-wax prep.
Should we numb full legs?+
Most practices do not. The FDA advises against heavy application of topical anesthetics over large areas. Focus on small, sensitive zones.
Can a waxing studio order MediCaine?+
MediCaine is supplied only to licensed providers and dispensed after NPI verification. Waxing services order through their licensed provider or medical director. See pricing.
